Laura Linney, best known for playing strong, yet fragile characters, is one of the most acclaimed American actors of the present. As a teenager, she spent her summers at her father's house and gaining an interest in theater. While at Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. Her career began on Broadway shortly after her graduation, she made her debut in film within two years, and then on television in the year after. Since then, she's been in numerous films as well as stage and television productions. In her long career, she has received several awards. Some of them includes 2 Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. In spite of her many accolades, she is still a lover of acting and has performed on stage and screen.
