Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines as the character Buffy Summers in the cult film Buffy the Vampire SlayerRebecca Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the very short-lived NBC show with the same nameErica Paget on the CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. A native of California she was attracted to acting since she was young. She was a part of the advertising world, appearing in many commercials. She first appeared on the screen in 1984 during NBCs It's Your Move show. The following year she appeared in the romantic comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Her most famous feature is the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she has. Recently she has moved on to playing secondary characters. Swan was awarded her the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best actor in the midst of a thriller or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
